Talented young footballers from Kings Hill under-15s have gone unbeaten throughout the season to secure a league title. Hill ensured they went the entire campaign without defeat - conceding three goals in their league fixtures - as they beat Ramsgate 2-0 in their final match this term on Sunday to become Kent Youth League East Division champions.
Astyn Taylor and Dario Arsovski got their goals either side of the half-time interval. “Obviously, Kings Hill Football Club has only been going since 2003,” said under-15s team manager Duncan Kirk. “It’s now become very established, with more than 50 junior teams and some senior teams.
This is the first time we’ve won a Kent League title as a youth team. “All the boys are local from the Maidstone and West Malling areas. “They’re a close-knit group and they’ve done really well this year.” The only blemish on their near-perfect record was a 1-1 draw at Hollands & Blair in mid-February.
And Kirk, who came back from a work trip in New York on Thursday ahead of the Ramsgate match, hopes to see some of his troops enjoy successful footballing careers.
