Manchester United are on the brink of finalising a deal for Napoli defender Kim Min-jae, according to reports. A rumoured £45million buyout clause has Europe’s top clubs on red alert after the South Korean’s stellar campaign in Italy.

In his debut season since joining Napoli for £15million, the centre-back has dominated the backline to help the club clinch their first league title in over 30 years.

Napoli have conceded just 25 goals - the fewest in the division - despite selling first-choice defender Kalidou Koulibaly to Chelsea last summer.

A report from Italian outlet Il Mattino claims the 26-year-old has doubts about a move to Old Trafford but a deal is 'practically done'.
