Kieran Tierney to Celtic transfer NOT ruled out by Brendan Rodgers as boss declares 'never say never'

Brendan Rodgers is refusing to rule out a sensational Kieran Tierney return to Celtic. The former Hoops star is facing an uncertain future at Arsenal and has always admitted he’d love to one day to return to his his boyhood club.

Premier League heavy hitters such as Newcastle United are in the frame and Rodgers admitted Celtic would be struggle to compete with the transfer fees and wages on offer elsewhere.

But the Irishman also made a shock return to Parkhead after four years in England and he insisted the door is always open for a dramatic Tierney comeback.

Rodgers said: “There have been lots of players linked with here with me coming back. All I know is Kieran is like myself – we loved our time here.
