Keatley: Confident Munster starting to show more flair

Ian Keatley says Munster are beginning to show flickers of greater creativity with a string of good results breeding confidence in Graham Rowntree's squad. The province dug out a big Heineken Champions Cup win against Northampton Saints on Saturday, with Gavin Coombes scoring two tries in a 27-23 win at Thomond Park. That win came despite Jack O'Donoghue seeing red for a high tackle on David Ribbans in the 22nd minute, and though former Italy international Keatley identified some familiar traits in the home team's performance, he also saw flashes of flair that bode well."There are glimpses of the backs and the forwards inter-linking and they are being a bit more creative," he told RTÉ 2fm's Game On."Now, most of their tries are still coming from the maul tries or little pick and goes, but then again if that's what works for you...

it is a little bit part of the Munster DNA, kicking to the corner, mauls, forwards around the corner."They've been doing it for years.

You don't want to get away from that but at the same time you still want to develop your attacking game and I think we've seen glimpse of that, especially with Joey [Carbery] and Jack [Crowley], they're kind of being a little bit more creative."That's what a few results can do for you, you can start being a bit more creative...

they're starting to paly a bit more because they are getting results.""They're going to be a match for anybody for the rest of the season if they keep this momentum."Stephen Ferris was impressed with Munster's grit in front of a pumped-up home crowd.
