Kalvin Phillips says the decision to move to Manchester City was a “no brainer” when he realised it would mean working under Pep Guardiola.
The 26-year-old has outlined that the club were “the only team” he would have considered leaving Leeds for and that he feels he is “home already”.
The England star arrived at the Eithad on a £42million transfer last month. He is expected to play a crucial part in Guardiola’s plans next season as the club try to secure a third consecutive Premier League title and an elusive first Champions League trophy.
Phillips described how Guardiola’s presence at the club had a massive impact on him choosing to leave his hometown club for City.
