Jonathan Klinsmann is Hibs transfer 'target' as Nick Montgomery plans goalkeeping shake up

dailyrecord.co.uk

Jonathan Klinsmann is a transfer target for Hibs, according to a report. Nick Montgomery is on the lookout for a goalkeeper, with Jojo Wollacott away on international duty at the African Cup of Nations with Ghana and his Easter Road future uncertain after a lack of game time.

David Marshall is the Hibees No 1, but at 38 is approaching the end of his career and is out of contract at the end of the season.

Max Boruc also hasn't had much of a look in between the sticks. So Montgomery needs to plan for the longer term and the Daily Mail claims he has identified the 26-year-old son of Germany World Cup winner Jurgen as an option.

Klinsmann Jnr is German born but holds United States citizenship and is a free agent after leaving LA Galaxy, having made just ten MLS appearances last term.
