John Park 'LEAVES' Rangers as Philippe Clement influence has direct impact on scout's departure

Scout John Park has reportedly left Rangers as the backroom shakeup at Ibrox continues - with Philippe Clement's influence leading to the talent spotter's departure.

Park was initially brought to Ibrox under Ross Wilson and was in situ throughout the tail end of Gio van Bronckhorst's stay and the entire Michael Beale era.

He remained after Wilson's departure but Clement's arrival has come alongside a huge shakeup of the football operation. New director of football recruitment Nils Koppen joined last week and that comes after Zurab Almirian was named head of the academy - both Belgian appointments believed to have been influenced by Clement.

Now the Scottish Sun say 65-year-old Park has left the club 18 months after he was brought to Ibrox. It's said the move comes after Clement's hand in naming Koppen as his new recruitment chief sparked a rethink over his role, with the Belgian spearheading a restructure behind the scenes.
