John Higgins targets double Celtic title party with Ange as meeting with boss fuels undying snooker dream

John Higgins says he's readier than ever to win a fifth World Championship - because he wants to join Ange Postecoglou for a Parkhead trophy party.

The Wizard of Wishaw has gone 12 years without lifting the biggest honour in snooker, the longest he has gone since his first crown back in 1998.

Having lost the 2019 final, he didn't get past the second round in 2020 or 2021 but made the semi-finals last year and he's determined to go one - or two - better when the tournament kicks off next month.

A massive Celtic fan, Higgins is determined he can go on and win it and reckons Postecoglou, whose turnaround at his beloved Hoops has in many ways mirrored his own since his poor 2020/21 campaign, is one of the main inspirations behind that.
