Aberdeen loanee Jay Gorter has admitted he is open to a permanent move to Pittodrie from Ajax - as he admits he has been met with silence by the Dutch giants since arriving in Scotland.

The 22-year-old has penned a new deal with the Eredivisie champions which will run until 2026 before making his move to the Scottish Premiership on deadline day of the January window, and has managed four appearances since arriving at Pittodrie.

He has made himself the number one at the club under Barry Robson following Kelle Roos' injury - but experienced Roos was recalled to the starting line-up in the win over Hearts with Gorter becoming unwell ahead of kick-off.

The rookie stopper - who has made just one first-team appearance for Ajax - has admitted he is loving the demands of playing in the Granite City with the club targeting third spot in the table.
