Jack Butland confesses to error at Kyogo goal but Rangers keeper 'pleased' with derby performance

Gutted Rangers No1 Jack Butland has defended his Parkhead performance - but admits he WAS caught out of position as Kyogo stroked home for Brendan Rodgers’ slick Celts.

The former England shot-stopper was beaten three times in Sunday’s Old Firm opener as Philippe Clement’s men fell apart against the champions.

The result sparked furious scenes back at Ibrox after the match, with outraged fans rounding on their Belgian boss and his squad.

It says a lot about the sheer dark gloom that has enveloped Ibrox that even Butland, the keeper who almost single-handedly prevented the club’s campaign from imploding before Clement’s arrival last term, is now also in the firing line.
