Joel Dommett was once again the star of the show as he hosted this year's National Television Awards. The event saw the creme de la creme of the TV industry gather in anticipation of winning their respective awards.
However, ITV viewers quickly voiced a major complaint just minutes into the show. Many took to Twitter to comment on Joel's opening musical number.
One viewer remarked: "Most painful intro in some time! #NTAs." Another added: "That was horrendous Joel." "The singing intro thing only really works when it's someone that can actually sing," commented another viewer. "What the actual f**k is this? " questioned one perplexed viewer, with another chiming in: "Oh how corny." Joel's musical performance featured many of the celebrities and shows nominated for awards, including Davina McCall, Bradley Walsh and Ant and Dec.
