Coronation Streets fans have been left confused after seeing Rick Neelan will return to the programme in upcoming scenes. The ITV soap has released an explosive new trailer ahead of its upcoming 'Super Soap Week'.

The special week of episodes - which often features a major storyline or big stunt - is usually saved until October. However, it appears the special week has been moved while Emmerdale will dedicate the whole of next month to its 50th anniversary celebrations with an action-packed week from October 16.

And on Thursday night, Corrie released its first look at the dramatic scenes which will revolved around Gary Windass and Kelly Neelan - eventually leading to the latters exit as Millie Gibson bows out of the long-running soap after three years. But things don’t quite go as planned and both Gary and Kelly end up in danger and their lives hanging in the balance over the Manchester skyline.
