Gary Neville was left frustrated with Manchester United's first-half performance against Wolves as one of Erik ten Hag's new tactics drove him "crazy".
It wasn't the greatest of performances from Ten Hag's men after a promising summer for United, who played out a drab first half at Old Trafford against a side whose manager was only hired five days before.
Wolves were the better team and would have taken the lead with sharper finishing. Neville was particularly annoyed by United attempting to move a full-back, Luke Shaw, into the midfield in the inverted full-back role.
It is a tactic Pep Guardiola has deployed at Manchester City but Neville doesn't believe United have the players capable of playing the role. “It’s driven me crazy a little bit in the first half.
