India's Predicted XI vs England, 3rd ODI: Will Arshdeep Singh Get A Chance?

sports.ndtv.com

India and England face off on Sunday for the third and deciding ODI at Old Trafford in Manchester. The three-match series is currently level at 1-1 with both India and England registering one dominating win each.

In the first game, India ruled the roost by bundling out England for 110 runs and then won the game by 10 wickets. The hosts were quick to bounce back after the humiliating defeat and handed India a 100-run loss to take the series to the decider.

In India's second game against England, the inclusion of Virat Kohli saw Shreyas Iyer warming the benches, but what about the third ODI?

Will India make any changes in their playing XI for the series decider? Here is what we think could be India's playing XI for the third and final ODI against England: Rohit Sharma (c): The Indian skipper was impressive in the first match with his 76 not out off 58 balls but in the second game, Rohit failed miserably for a 10-ball duck.

Team India have been in a roaring form in the shortest format this year but their winning streak was put on hold by West Indies in the second T20I as they claimed a victory by five wickets at the Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts. Obed McCoy was the shining spot for West Indies as he scalped six wickets and restricted Team India to a below-par score of 138. In return, West Indies chased down the target with four balls to spare and five wickets in hand. Third T2OI might become a chance for Deepak Hooda to find his place back into the Playing XI. The batter rose to fame with his century and a 47-run knock off 29 balls against Ireland in the two-match series. The batter could not live up to the expectations in the ODI series against West Indies and got the numbers like 27 and 33.
After winning the first T20I, Team India will look to march ahead with their winning momentum in the second game of the five-match series against West Indies on Monday. It would be interesting to see whether India looks to give Sanju Samson some game time in the middle, but it looks unlikely at this stage, as head coach Rahul Dravid is not someone who like to chope and change, especially when the side is winning. In the first T20I, Suryakumar Yadav had opened the batting, so it needs to seen whether the experiment is persisted with or there is someone else in team's mind to open alongside skipper Rohit.
After registering a ODI series sweep against West Indies, Team India would hope for a good show in the five-match T20I series against West Indies, beginning Friday. Rohit Sharma will be back to lead the side, and Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya will also be back after being rested for the ODI series. It would be interesting to see whether the side continues to play that attacking brand of cricket which was on show against England. The biggest question is whether the side would give a chance to Ravichandran Ashwin in the playing XI for the first T20I

For England, Jos Buttler will look to seal his first series win as white-ball captain, having lost the T20I and ODI series against India earlier this month. Pant's unbeaten 125 and his 133-run partnership with Hardik Pandya (71 off 55) helped India chase down 260 in the third and final ODI at Manchester and win the series 2-1. England were bundled out for 259 thanks to some brilliant spells from the likes of Hardik Pandya (4/24) and Yuzvendra Chahal (3/60).
