Ian Wright tells Erik ten Hag how to fix worrying trend at Manchester United

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has claimed that Erik ten Hag needs to find a way for Manchester United to register more shots on target during matches, labelling their current output as "not enough" for the club.

United will be looking to improve on their performance against Newcastle when they play Tottenham on Wednesday night. The Reds were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw on Sunday, with Marcus Rashford and Fred both guilty of missing glorious chances to win the match for Ten Hag's side at Old Trafford.

United only managed to muster two shots on target during the game, and their lack of ruthlessness in front of goal will be a worrying trend for Ten Hag.

His side are currently 10th in the league for attempts on goal, managing a total of 42 shots that have troubled the goalkeeper during their campaign, rivals Manchester City and Arsenal top the list with 68 and 62 respectively.
