Ian Wright believes Jadon Sancho will discover his best form in a Manchester United shirt next season. The England international has netted seven goals and assisted three in his second full season with United.

Signed for £70million in the summer of 2021, Sancho is yet to hit the heights expected of him in the Premier League. But the former Borussia Dortmund has shown some positive signs in the second half of the campaign, after spending three months undertaking individual training in the Netherlands in the middle of the season.

Wright has seen the benefits from that decision and is backing Sancho to show his best self in the long run. ALSO READ: Erik ten Hag did what Solskjaer could not with rousing speech "It’s the potential Ten Hag knows he has and he recognised he needed a little bit of a break - sent him to Holland for a bit of a physical and mental recuperation,” Wright said of Sancho on Match of the Day. “We know the capability of this guy.

We know what he’s capable of in respect of his skills. "He’ll beat people and once he gets that main focal point, like he had at Dortmund with (Marco) Reus, he will do his stuff because we are talking about somebody who from ability-wise, he is absolutely top drawer. "He’s got six goals and three assists this season and I am sure, with the money they paid for him, they’ll want more.
