Rio Ferdinand has admitted he'd be "very surprised" if officials at Manchester United weren't already planning to make a move for Harry Kane in the summer.
Though United have made vast improvements under the guidance of Erik ten Hag this season, launching a genuine Premier League title challenge and competing with neighbours Manchester City is beyond them at present.
The club are looking to change that in the transfer window, though, and look likely to invest once again in order to get them to the next level.
An elite-level striker to bring much-needed goals to the side is the biggest priority - as well as a midfielder and a right-back - and Tottenham talisman Kane is the prime target.
