Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn has seemingly played down the prospect of the German heavyweights signing Manchester United transfer target Victor Osimhen this summer.

The Napoli striker, 24, is attracting a wealth of interest from a plethora of big-name European clubs ahead of this summer's transfer window following a stellar campaign for the recently crowned Serie A champions.

He has scored 28 goals for the Gli Azzurri this term, establishing himself as one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe.

United, who are set to prioritise the addition of an elite-level striker this forthcoming summer, identified Osimhen as a target as far back as November and he remains on their radar, though manager Erik ten Hag has earmarked Tottenham Hotspur and England star Harry Kane as his top target.
