Boss Steve Watt hailed a "special group of players" as Hythe bid to take the Isthmian South East play-off race the distance.

The Cannons continued their fine form with back-to-back wins over Easter. They won 4-1 at Burgess Hill on Saturday through Frannie Collin’s double and goals from Ethan Smith and Jason Fregene.

And Watt's men backed it up with Johan Caney-Bryan scoring the only goal in a 1-0 Easter Monday victory over Faversham, relegating their opponents in the process.

Hythe have reeled off four straight wins since losing to Ashford at the end of last month. They sit seventh, a point behind Cray Valley, who occupy the final play-off spot, but have played a game more than the Millers.
