Manchester United spent more than any other team in the Premier League on injured players last season. That's according to new data from Premier Injuries, which shows United spent £25.7m on the salaries of players while they were injured last term.

United endured their worst season for decades and were hit with multiple injury problems throughout the campaign. The data has also revealed United spent in excess of £5m on Paul Pogba alone.

Pogba was sidelined with a hamstring injury and a calf injury last season and he made just 16 starts in the Premier League in his final campaign at the club. Cavani missed 29 of United's 49 matches and asked to sit out the FA Cup tie with Middlesbrough, but he's now left the club for free, just like Pogba.
