Christian Eriksen is set to join Manchester United on a free transfer this summer after agreeing to the move in principle. The Manchester Evening News understands that Erik ten Hag wants to complete five signings by the end of the club's pre-season tour abroad and United are also working on securing Lisandro Martinez.
Players like Eriksen and Martinez show how much faith the club have in Ten Hag. Both were recommended by the manager and if they sign they will likely play a massive part in his revolution at Old Trafford.
Where Eriksen will play is up for debate. Some fans have wondered whether he would play in the number 10 role while others have wondered whether he can play out wide in a similar role to Hakim Ziyech and Dusan Tadic at Ajax; though it is most likely that he will play in a pivot with Frenkie de Jong (if United are able to secure his signature).
