A schoolgirl suffered a brain injury and 15 broken bones after being knocked over by a zorbing ball while on holiday. Lily-Mae West, eight, was visiting a caravan park with her family when a zorb ball knocked her face-first onto a concrete floor.

As a result of the accident, she sustained a brain injury and broke 15 bones in her skull. The injuries affected her eye sockets, eyebrows, and the roof of her mouth.

Lily-Mae's mum Katie, 32, said the 'freak accident' just 'didn't seem real'. She added: "It happened so fast and was a freak accident.

When she was in hospital I was terrified. "It didn’t seem real. It felt like I was watching what was happening from a distance.
