Handball federation picks June 30 for Premier League flag off in Benin City

The Nigeria Handball Premier League will begin on June 30 and end on July 12, 2023, in Benin City, Edo State, the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) has announced.

According to HFN’s Secretary General, Almu Umar Lambu, the Premier League will feature 22 teams, comprising 12 male and 10 women teams.

These include the teams promoted from the National Division One League.The HFN said the games would be played at the indoor sports hall of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium and the indoor sports hall of the Etete Sports Complex in Benin City, while advising the clubs to conclude all transfer/loan of players on or before June 25, 2023, and also conclude registration of players before the opening day of the league matchesFollow Us
