Greater Manchester weather forecast: Is it going to get colder next week?

With much of Greater Manchester waking up to a frost on Saturday, it was probably the first time many of us put the heating on this winter.

It's been a wet but pretty mild November so far, which, with energy bills still sky high, is good news for the bank balance.

But with the temperatures gradually dropping over the last few days does it mean winter is finally on its way? The short answer is no.

The Met Office is forecasting that next week will actually get warmer, with temperatures set to reach a relatively balmy 12C on Monday and Tuesday.
