Met Office weekend weather forecast after snow falls with more forecast across UK

Greater Manchester is waking to another cold day today - and the freezing temperatures are set to continue into the weekend.

Snow fell over some parts of our region overnight, with residents in parts of Oldham and Rochdale waking to a small dusting this morning.

Forecasters predict more of the white stuff could fall over parts of the UK today and into the weekend as cold air from Scandinavia continues to sweep over.

In Greater Manchester, temperatures won't rise above 4C today, though bright and clear conditions are forecast. It will be another freezing cold night into Friday as the mercury drops to -2C tomorrow morning.
