Graeme Souness names three Man City irreplaceables Pep Guardiola cannot do without

Premier League pundit Graeme Souness suggests Ederson, Erling Haaland and Kevin de Bruyne are the only three Manchester City players manager Pep Guardiola cannot substitute without weakening the team.

Souness, 69, believes that City currently have the best group of players in football history. The former Liverpool player and manager highlights how the commercial wealth of Abu Dhabi has helped, particularly by enabling them to remedy rare transfer mistakes with ready-made replacements.

Unsurprisingly, the pundit also predicts they will continue to dominate the Premier League for many more years. Souness is so confident about their solid infrastructure that even the eventual exit of Pep Guardiola as manager would not alter any title ambitions. ALSO READ: Guardiola privately warned City players over Arsenal slump "Manchester City have assembled what, in my opinion, is the best group of players at a football club in the history of our game, and their dismantling of Arsenal on Wednesday night proved that fact," Souness' MailPlus column reads.

The column continues: "This is what the wealth of a Gulf state buys you. With the commercial might of Abu Dhabi behind them, they have been able to buy the very best players.
