Susanna Reid was left issuing an apology to Good Morning Britain viewers as she made a bit of an error on the first edition of the programme of the week.

The broadcaster was back at the helm of the ITV news show on Monday (June 26) alongside Ed Balls. The pair were on hand to deliver the latest news headlines to viewers which included news of Sarah Ferguson's cancer diagnosis, as well as Elton John's emotional performance at Glastonbury Festival on Sunday night, thought to be his last-ever in the UK.

But Susanna appeared to get carried away and seemed to forget what time it was as she delivered an update to those tuning in at home following a brief pause in the programme. "Good Morning Britain, it’s just gone six o’clock, welcome to the programme," said Susanna, welcoming the viewers at home.

But Susanna quickly recognised she was wrong with the time but it was Ed who interrupted her first and corrected her. "Seven o’clock," he interjected.
