Kate Garraway was a little bit red-faced as she returned to Good Morning Britain. The broadcaster was back on the ITV news programme on Thursday (July 6) to bring viewers the latest news headlines while the show was hosted by Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard.
But Kate was left apologising as she disrupted the penultimate live broadcast of the week. Susanna and Ben were in the midst of debating whether the disruptive protest tactics of Just Stop Oil were effective following the scenes at the Wimbledon tennis tournament this week.
However, Kate's mobile phone momentarily halted the discussion. As the hosts chatted with environmentalist Daniel Hoope, known as Swapy, they were interrupted by a typical phone tune playing out with Susanna remarking in surprise: "Oh, we've got a musical soundtrack!" Susanna quipped: "This is Kate Garraway's protest," while the flustered presenter replied:"'I'm so sorry, I don't know what happened there!" With her head down looking at her mobile and desperately trying to silence it, she added: "Oh my God, it's happening again!
