Manchester City midfielder Tommy Doyle says he has received inspiration from seeing the first-team win a historic Treble this season ahead of England’s Under-21s Euros campaign.
The 21-year-old helped Sheffield United to Championship promotion during his year-long loan at Bramall Lane, having to sit out their FA Cup semi-final defeat to City at Wembley due to competition rules.
Doyle, who has two years left on his Blues contract, played 38 times for the Blades, scoring four goals and assisting seven more.
He and City senior star Cole Palmer have been included in Lee Carsley’s squad for England Under-21s European Championship campaign in Georgia and Romania this summer.
