Gillingham will be bringing in defensive cover following Elkan Baggott’s departure last week - and the manager wants another striker too.
Baggott, 20, was recalled by Ipswich Town and sent straight out on loan to League 1 Cheltenham Town for the remainder of the season.
He wasn’t involved on Saturday in the club’s 4-2 defeat at Plymouth. The Gills have been linked to their former loan man Conor Masterson following Baggott’s departure.
The 24-year-old QPR centre-back was an ever-present in Neil Harris’ side at the back end of last season and doesn’t look like he’ll be involved much for the Championship side.
