Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville believes the club must do more than just sign Frenkie de Jong ahead of next month's transfer deadline to consider it a successful window.
Neville made the admission after watching his former side make a disappointing start to the new Premier League campaign, losing 2-1 to Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford on Sunday.
A Pascal Gross double fired the Seagulls into a commanding 2-0 lead by half-time and United couldn't recover despite pulling a goal back.
United suffered from the same problem that plagued them last season, with their midfield options once again not proving good enough.
