Gareth Southgate is disappointed Manchester United's Marcus Rashford is not available for England during the international break.

Rashford was included in England's squad for Euro 2024 qualifying games against Italy and Ukraine, but he withdrew from international duty with a knock that he sustained against Fulham last weekend, before travelling to New York for a holiday.

The forward posted pictures of himself in Central Park with his partner on social media. It is believed that England were unaware of his trip to the USA after his withdrawal. "So, in terms of a loss when you haven’t had him that often, then it’s different to being a loss.

But without a doubt he was in good form. We were looking forward to seeing him." Rashford's injury remains unspecified after he was taken off seven minutes from time in the FA Cup win against Fulham.
