Spain is one of the most popular holiday destinations for Brits and many will be jetting off there during the school holidays.

If you are planning to travel to the country, it’s worth knowing the latest guidance as the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has issued an update for spain.

The FCDO has updated travel advice for the following topics: renting a vehicle, water safety, altitude sickness, and forest fires.

The latter comes as the Mediterranean experiences baking conditions, with wildfire burning on several Greek islands. If you’re planning on renting a car while you’re in Spain, then be prepared to present your passport as car rental companies have a legal duty to register passport details of tourists when they collect a vehicle.
