Malmo director of sport Daniel Andersson has hinted they are keeping tabs on Rangers defender Filip Helander with the Swedish stopper looking likely to leave Ibrox this summer.
The centre-back made the £3.5million move from Bologna back in 2019 but has been hampered by injuries throughout his time in the Scottish Premiership.
The Swedish international has managed to play in only 60 games for the Light Blues and has missed more than 100 since arriving from Serie A and not played a single minute of football this term after requiring surgery on a foot injury after breaking down on the club’s pre-season training camp in Portugal.
His last appearance for Rangers came back in April 2022 in the victory over St Mirren, but in January boss Michael Beale challenged the 29-year-old to prove his fitness and earn a new deal before the end of the campaign.
