Tottenham Hotspur are not prioritising the signing of a midfielder, amid links to Leicester City and Belgium midfielder Youri Tielemans, according to Fabrizio Romano. The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to Spurs throughout the summer, but this is unlikely to happen as it stands.
At the start of the transfer window, Spurs were rumoured to be planning to hijack Arsenal’s bid for Tielemans according to Football.London, but a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hasn’t materialised as of yet.
The £40m man has been linked with moves to Manchester United and Arsenal, with the former club said to be on ‘high alert’ with interest in a move for the Belgian from Mikel Arteta’s side seeming to be cooling, according to the Daily Star.
United have been frequently linked to Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong but could move for the Leicester star should they be unable to get the deal for the Dutchman over the line.
