Everton will attempt striker move 'this week' at Goodison Park

Everton are set to ‘make moves’ in the transfer market this week as the Toffees target a new striker this summer, according to transfer insider Dean Jones. Frank Lampard has overseen his first window as Everton boss but there is still plenty to do at Goodison Park ahead of the September 1 deadline.

Only three new players have arrived at the club this summer in the form of James Tarkowski, Dwight McNeil and Ruben Vinagre.

But there has also been a mass exodus from Merseyside too. Jonjoe Kenny and Cenk Tosun have departed on free transfers and, most notably, star striker Richarlison has been sold to Tottenham for just over £50 million.

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin set for another spell on the sidelines, a new striker will surely be a top priority in the remaining weeks.
