Everton have been linked with a summer move for Watford attacker Emmanuel Dennis. According to a recent report from the Evening Standard, the 24-year-old is among the names on the Toffees’ list of potential players to replace Richarlison, who recently joined Tottenham Hotspur in a deal worth £60m.
The report added that the Hornets could be tempted to sell if an offer of around £20m comes in for their star striker. Bearing in mind how industrious Richarlison was for Frank Lampard’s side last season in terms of his attacking play, as he had more shots at goal (70) and more goal-creating actions (eight) than any other Everton player in the league, it would be a mistake for the club not to add at least one new attacking player to the squad this summer.
Watford signed Dennis from Belgian outfit Club Brugge on a five-year deal last summer. During his debut campaign at Vicarage Road, the 24-year-old found the net 10 times and provided six assists in 33 league appearances.
Along with delivering more goal contributions than any other Hornets player, the Nigerian also had more shots at goal (61), shots on target (27), shot-creating actions (91) and successful dribbles (73) than any other player at the club.
