Erling Haaland scored his second hat-trick for Manchester City against Nottingham Forest. The Norwegian forward has made an incredible start to life as a City player following his £51 million transfer from Nottingham Forest.
There were – strangely – doubts over whether or not Haaland would be able to maintain the same, insane firing rate that he’d put on display at Dortmund and at previous clubs.
Those doubts have already been shattered. Haaland has looked every part a world class forward with every minute he’s played for City so far and has given a team that was already so lethal and near perfect another outlet to score goals and punish teams with.
Pep Guardiola’s City sides have never struggled for goals despite playing without a recognised centre forward in recent seasons, so the fact they now have a number nine like Haaland to feed through every week is a frankly sickening thought for rival clubs.
