Erling Haaland’s remarkable start to his Manchester City career continued on Saturday as he scored his 14th goal of the season.
The Norwegian, who joined City from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth £51 million in June, has well and truly hit the ground running in the Premier League.
August’s Player of the Month has now scored 11 Premier League goals in his first seven appearances after finding the back of the net against Wolves at Molineux. Haaland doubled City’s advantage in the 16th minute, taking two touches before hitting the ball from the edge of the box with his ‘weaker’ right foot past Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa.
It was another excellent goal from a centre-forward who appears destined to cement his status as one of the greatest players of his generation.
