Erik ten Hag must showcase an exciting brand of football to warrant a long-term future at Manchester United. Since arriving at Old Trafford in July 2022, the Dutchman has struggled to lift supporters from their seats, despite enjoying such an attack-minded approach at his previous clubs.
In 2012, he landed his first managerial position at the Go Ahead Eagles in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie. Against the odds, Ten Hag helped the club secure a place in the Dutch top flight after defeating FC Dordrecht, VVV-Venlo and FC Volendam in the promotion play-offs.
Then, in 2013, he was named the Bayern Munich Reserves head coach, where he worked closely with Pep Guardiola for a couple of years.
