Erik ten Hag will have taken several concerns into the new week following Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Tottenham, not least a continued wastefulness in front of goal.

Manchester United were completely outplayed in the second half at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and deserved nothing from the game.

But things could have been very different, had one of several brilliant chances been taken before half-time. Bruno Fernandes was the biggest culprit, somehow seeing a free header from six-yards cannon high and wide.

The Reds captain explained he was focusing on Spurs goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario as Luke Shaw's ball floated towards him, leading to the wayward effort.
