'Envious' - Manchester United fans told to 'applaud' Glazers after transfer window

Danny Murphy insists Manchester United fans should 'applaud' the Glazers and said that other clubs would be 'envious' of their transfer spend.

United have spent around £180million on three new signings this summer, with Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund all arriving for significant fees.

There could yet be more new faces too, depending on outgoings, with United keen to sign a replacement for Harry Maguire, should he sign for West Ham.

However, the protracted sale of the club and rising level of debt means United fans are deeply unhappy with the American family's ownership.
