Anne Keothavong, Britain’s team captain at the Billie Jean King Cup Finals, has revealed Emma Raducanu is “doing her best” to recover from injury for the tournament.
It was announced yesterday that Raducanu would lead Britain at the 12-team event, despite the world number 68 struggling with a wrist injury in recent weeks.
She will be joined by Harriet Dart, Heather Watson and Katie Boulter, as well as a fifth player who is yet to be announced. With the tournament just one month away, there are doubts over Raducanu’s ability to return to fitness in time.
Speaking to reporters after announcing her team, Keothavong seemed confident that Raducanu would recover from injury in time for the Billie Jean King Cup Finals.
