Dramatic pictures have revealed the moment a car flipped onto its side in Manchester city centre on Monday afternoon (September 4).

Police were called to the scene of the incident at the junction with Fountain Street and Spring Gardens, after a black Peugeot 107 appeared to have flipped over outside of No60 Spring Gardens.

Witnesses could be seen watching on after the crash as officers conducted enquiries at the scene. Details about how the crash happened have not been confirmed. The road was blocked off for a short time by a police vehicle as shattered glass and debris was seen in the road.
