Denmark caretaker boss Lars Knudsen has warned patience will be required with Rasmus Hojlund this season after he started his nation's 2-2 draw with Switzerland on Tuesday night.
After being on the bench for the weekend defeat to Spain, the United striker was recalled for the clash with the Swiss and got 57 minutes under his belt.
The 21-year-old, who had not started his country since June, missed the start of this season with a hamstring injury suffered in the opening game of United's pre-season tour of the United States against Arsenal in July.
He did not make his first appearance of the campaign until the 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace on September 21. Hojlund made another four appearances prior to the international break, including two starts.
