De Vries and Doohan on Alpine's test list

Renault-owned Alpine started a private test in Hungary on Tuesday (Sep 20) with Dutch driver Nyck de Vries and Australian Jack Doohan in the spotlight as the Formula One team assesses options for next season.Alpine would not confirm details of the test or who was driving last year's car at the Hungaroring circuit near Budapest.The official Formula One website said de Vries, Doohan and Italian Antonio Giovinazzi were expected to get time at the wheel.Two times world champion Fernando Alonso is leaving for Aston Martin at the end of the year, leaving the most desirable remaining vacancy on the grid.
