Dartford boss Alan Dowson hopes his team get the chance to gain revenge against Chelmsford in the play-offs. The Darts lost to a stoppage-time winner at Princes Park in National League South on Saturday as the Essex side completed a league double over Dowson’s men, having won the reverse fixture with an 89th-minute in December.
But their excessive post-match celebrations lacked class and left Dowson bemused. “They’ve got six points (off us) and are celebrating,” said Dowson. “I think they are plebs to be honest. “They started singing songs and banging on doors, and you’re thinking is that what it’s about when beating Dartford so let’s hope we get them in the play-offs. “The Worthing manager rang us and, apparently, they did the same last week.
I think it’s disrespectful me personally, but if that’s what you do that’s what they’re doing. “They’ve got some decent players but whacking the music up and singing songs?
Get yourself a life man. “Fair play to them and for winning in the last minute again, hopefully we get them and it becomes a little bit of a grudge (match) in the play-offs.” Dowson felt his team did enough to win the game.
