Daniil Medvedev bounced back from his Indian Wells final defeat to Carlos Alcaraz with a dominant 6-1 6-2 victory over Roberto Carballes Baena to advance in the Miami Open.
The 27-year-old put on a dazzling display as he emerged victorious in just over an hour to claim his place in the third round in style.
Ad Medvedev converted both break points as he wrapped up a one-sided opening set in 32 minutes, hitting nine winners along the way, and although he was spared the humiliation of a bagel, Carballes Baena was outclassed throughout.
