Crystal Palace have 'real interest' in £50m star at Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace‘s reported interest in Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher is real, according to CBS reporter Ben Jacobs. One outlet recently claimed that the south London club have made a bid for the 22-year-old as Patrick Vieira looks to bring him back to Selhurst Park after his successful loan spell there last season.

As per The Times, Palace have sent a £27m offer to Chelsea for Gallagher ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline. That figure, however, is unlikely to be enough if the Blues do decide that the Englishman can go before the window closes.

According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea have previously valued Gallagher at £50m. And given that he is being used by Thomas Tuchel right now, playing in all four of the games he has been available for, you suspect that the Premier League outfit are not going to accept offers that are not near that.

Still, it appears that Palace have not given up on signing the Chelsea player, who made 39 appearances for them last term. Jacobs has told GIVEMESPORT that while Palace are interested in re-signing Gallagher, Chelsea would rather do a loan deal and are not going to accept a £27m bid for the England international.
