A driver was arrested last night after he failed to stop for police in Bolton then ploughed into another car. Officers tried to stop the driver on Prince Street at around 6.40pm yesterday evening (Sunday).

But he made off from the scene and smashed into another car on Blackburn Road, close to the town centre. The driver - a 42-year-old man - was taken to hospital for treatment on non life-threatening or non life-changing injuries, police said.
